Detailed Self-Drive Itinerary
Day 1-4: Semonkong Lodge
The biggest attraction is the Maletsunyane Falls which is one of Africa’s highest single dropping falls, While Semonkong is easily accessible by road, the surrounding mountain passes and trails are begging to be explored in our Jimny 4×4 rentals. These include Phororo Viewpoint, Tšenkeng and Ha Seng – all easily accessible from the lodge.
For the active traveller, there is enough to keep you busy for days. Tackle the world’s longest single drop abseil near the Maletsunyane Falls, enjoy pony trekking in the mountains or tackle the many hiking and mountain bike trails that surround the lodge.
Those keen to experience Lesotho culture will love the donkey pub crawl or one of the various community projects available in the area.
Choose to camp at Semonkong Lodge. 4 days 4×4 hire in one of our fully equipped Suzuki Jimny’s. Rental includes all the camping gear you need.
Or rather choose to stay in a chalet or a rondavel at Semonkong Lodge. With your accommodation sorted, we have left the camping gear out of this one. The camping fridge is still included in your rental as well as a few basic items.
Departure is on day 4 as arranged with Tread Lite, leaving only your memories behind.
